ReplyDeleteHow are you liking the Manistee National Forest so far? Enough off road hiking for you? Wait until you get to the Manistee river, from Mesick to US131, 25+ miles of absolutely beautiful hiking.

I travelled through a coastal wetland area yesterday and ended up at a campground by the high school in White Cloud.
ReplyDeleteSaw a lot more Red Pine acreage. Some of the plantings look quite old. Maybe back in the 30's or 40's. Do you know?
